The eMHA product provides comprehensive support for the application of the Mental Health Act. At the heart of the product is a section management module which allows the user to define the content of the legislation, the rules that apply to individual sections, and various reminder periods.

Although the product is delivered with current sections, and associated rules, fully defined, the ability to change the sections and associated rules gives the customer the ability to easily update the behaviour of the product in response to many changes in primary or secondary legislation.

Aside from this inherent flexibility the product also supports the following :

• Application of treatment provisions
• Renewal processes
• AWOL and Home Leave
• MHRT Appeals and Managers Appeals
• Support for Aftercare/Supervised Discharge
• Support for Guardianship
• Automated rule based reminders
• Production of MHA Letters
• Production of MHA reports, including KP90.
• To the extent necessary the product is already being updated in response to the changes introduced in the Mental Health Act 2007, including changes in roles, Community Treatment Orders, and the introduction of Advocacy services.

The product can be easily integrated with the providers existing patient database to avoid any need to duplicate patient records.
